Tidak ada surat tertentu yang harus dibaca setelah Al
Fatihah pada shalat gerhana. Akan tetapi, bacalah surat apa saja yang
dia bisa. Al Bahuutiy rahimahullah berkata, “Boleh membaca surat apapun karena tidak ada tuntunan surat tertentu yang hendak dibaca” (Lihat Kasysyaaful-Qinaa’ 2/63).
Namun, yang dianjurkan adalah memperlama qira’ah dan
shalat sesuai dengan lamanya gerhana, sehingga ketika shalat selesai
matahari pun telah terang kembali.
Nabi shallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam
memperlama qira’ah pada shalat gerhana, sampai-sampai berdiri pada
raka’at pertama kira-kira selama membaca surat Al-Baqarah. ‘Abdullaah
ibn ‘Abbaas radhiyallaahu ‘anhumaa berkata, “Terjadi
gerhana matahari di masa Rasulullah shallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam, maka
Rasulullah shallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam shalat dan diikuti oleh
orang-orang. Beliau berdiri (pada shalat tersebut) selama kira-kira
surat al-Baqarah” Diriwayatkan oleh al-Bukhaariy (993) dan Muslim (1512).
Syaikh al-Mubaarakfuuriy rahimahullaah
berkata, “Pada hadits ini terdapat dalil untuk disyari’atkannya
memperlama berdiri dengan membaca surat yang panjang pada shalat
gerhana. Dan ini hukumnya dianjurkan menurut semua ulama’.” (Lihat Mar’aatul-Mafaatiih Syarh Misykaatil-Mashaabiih 5/136.)
Al-Hajjaawiy rahimahullaah berkata, “Hendaknya membaca surat yang panjang pada raka’at pertama secara jahr setelah al-Fatihah”.
Syaikh al-’Utsaimiin rahimahullaah berkata, “(Surat yang hendaknya dibaca) tidaklah ditentukan.
Entah itu surat al-Baqarah, atau Ali ‘Imran, atau an-Nisa’. Yang
penting surat ini harus panjang. Karena yang disebutkan di hadits bahwa
surat yang dibaca adalah surat yang panjang. Yaitu, pilihlah surat yang
paling panjang. Telah disebutkan sebelumnya bahwa ada sahabat yang jatuh
pingsan karena berdiri terlalu lama.” (Lihat asy-Syarhul-Mumti’ 5/184.)
Beliau rahimahullaah juga ditanya: Apa yang disyari’atkan untuk dibaca pada shalat gerhana?
Maka beliau menjawab, “Tidaklah disyari’atkan untuk membaca surat tertentu pada shalat gerhana.
Akan tetapi, yang disyari’atkan adalah memperlama bacaan surat. Akan
tetapi jika ia membaca misalnya surat yang mengandung nasihat yang
banyak, maka itu adalah waktu yang pas. Sebagian syaikh kami
menganjurkan untuk membaca surat al-Isra’ karena di dalamnya terdapat
ayat-ayat yang pas, seperti firman Allah Ta’ala,
وَمَا
مَنَعَنَا أَن نُّرْسِلَ بِالْآيَاتِ إِلَّا أَن كَذَّبَ بِهَا
الْأَوَّلُونَ ۚ وَآتَيْنَا ثَمُودَ النَّاقَةَ مُبْصِرَةً فَظَلَمُوا
بِهَا ۚ وَمَا نُرْسِلُ بِالْآيَاتِ إِلَّا تَخْوِيفًا
“Dan sekali-kali
tidak ada yang menghalangi Kami untuk mengirimkan (kepadamu) tanda-tanda
(kekuasaan Kami), melainkan karena tanda-tanda itu telah didustakan
oleh orang-orang dahulu. Dan telah Kami berikan kepada Tsamud unta
betina itu (sebagai mukjizat) yang dapat dilihat, tetapi mereka
menganiaya unta betina itu. Dan Kami tidak memberi tanda-tanda itu
melainkan untuk menakuti” (Surat al-Isra’: 59).
Yang penting adalah
hendaknya membaca surat yang mudah baginya, akan tetapi pilihlah surat
yang panjang, sebagaimana yang dilakukan oleh Nabi shallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam” (Lihat Liqaa’ul-Baabil-Maftuuh no. 15.)
