Anggun. Gaun pengantin warna putih membuatnya semakin anggun. Jilbab
besar menjadi mahkotanya. Make-up tipis menghiasi wajah ayunya. Hari itu
ia begitu bahagia.
“Allaahu akbar, Allaaahu akbar” adzan Isya’ berkumandang, menyadarkannya bahwa ia sudah tak punya wudhu.
“Bu, aku mau berwudhu dan shalat Isya’
dulu,” pamitnya dengan nada santun kepada ibunda. Ia memang terbiasa
shalat di awal waktu.
“Apa kamu sudah gila? Para tamu sudah
datang. Jika engkau wudhu, bagaimana dengan make-up mu? Semuanya akan
terbasuh oleh air” jawab ibunya spontan. Ia terkejut dengan permintaan
anaknya.
“Aku harus shalat, Bu. Ibu sudah tahu kan, shalat adalah perintah Allah yang tak bisa ditawar”
“Iya, tapi kan bisa shalatnya nanti saja
setelah walimah selesai,” tukas sang ibu, “Aku ibumu. Demi Allah, jika
engkau berwudhu sekarang, ibu akan marah”
“Demi Allah. Shalat ini adalah perintah
Allah. Ibu sendiri tahu bahwa kita tak boleh mentaati manusia untuk
mendurhakai Allah. Aku takut dimarahi Allah”
“Tapi nanti bagaimana? Para tamu akan menertawakanmu karena engkau menemui mereka tanpa make-up. Engkau nanti
tidak terlihat cantik”
“Ibu, jika ibu suka aku terlihat cantik
di hadapan manusia, tidak sukakah ibu jika aku terlihat cantik di
hadapan Allah? Dengan berwudhu dan shalat di awal waktu, Allah akan
mencintai kita, mempercantik kita, apapun omongan orang”
Sang ibu tak bisa berbuat apa-apa lagi
untuk mencegah putrinya itu untuk berwudhu. Selesai berwudhu, pengantin
itu masuk ke sebuah ruangan untuk menunaikan shalat.
“Lama sekali shalatnya,” sang ibu gusar.
Sebagian tamu sudah menunggu sekian lama, tapi putrinya belum juga
keluar dari ruang shalatnya. Betapa terkejutnya sang ibu saat membuka
ruangan itu. Putri tercintanya ternyata meninggal dalam kondisi sujud.

tidak sedikit yang meninggal secara tiba-tiba.
Sungguh beruntung orang yang ketika maut
menjemput, ia sedang beribadah kepada Allah. Atau ia sedang melakukan
amal shalih dan kebajikan. Jadilah ia husnul khatimah. Dan inilah yang
kita cita-citakan.
Pengantin wanita itu telah mengajarkan
kita. Ia telah memenangkan perintah Allah. Ia tidak mau menunda shalat.
Ia tidak berberat hati kehilangan make-up demi wudhu. Dan jadilah malam
itu malam terakhirnya. Jadilah sujud itu sujud terakhirnya.
Suami, keluarga, dan para tamu mungkin
berduka. Tetapi ia telah berbahagia menghadap Tuhannya. Malam walimah
mungkin berubah menjadi malam kesedihan. Tetapi baginya, malam itu
