Kegiatan menabur bunga tidak hanya dilakukan pada makam yang masih
basah atau baru saja tetapi pada hari-hari tertentu seperti menjelang
hari raya atau hari lainnya kegiatan ini menjadi suatu keharusan bagi
orang Indonesia.
Menabur bunga di atas kuburan merupakan salah satu kegiatan yang sering
kita lihat dimasyarakat. Kegiatan ini berdasarkan hadits Nabi yang
diriwayatkan oleh Bukhari yaitu yang menjelaskan bahwa ketika Rosulullah
berjalan melewati dua kuburan, beliau bersabda bahwa dua orang penghuni
kubur tersebut sedang mendapat siksaan akibat perbuatan yang telah
mereka lakukan selama di dunia, yaitu tidak bersuci setelah buang air
kecil dan sering menyebarkan fitnah yang tidak benar. Kemudian
Rosulullah mengambil pelepah kurma dan membaginya menjadi dua bagian
untuk diletakkan pada masing-masing kuburan, hal ini bertujuan untuk
meringankan siksa orang yang di dalam kubur hingga pelepah kurma
tersebut kering.
Bagaimana hukum tabur bunga di kuburan menurut Islam? Ada dua pendapat
ulama yang melihat isi hadits ini seputar hukum menabur bunga atau
meletakkan tumbuhan lainnya pada kuburan. Berikut adalah uraianya:
Anjuran Rosulullah
Sebagian ulama berpendapat bahwa menabur bunga diatas kuburan seseorang
merupakan hal yang dianjurkan oleh Rosulullah. Hal ini berdasarkan dari
hadits diatas yang menerangkan bahwa Rosulullah meletakkan pelepah kurma
yang masih basah di atas kuburan orang yang disiksa untuk meringankan
siksanya hingga pelepah kurma itu mengering. Pendapat ini banyak dianut
oleh para ulama Syafi’iyah dan menganjurkan untuk menabur bunga atau
meletakkan tumbuhan lain di atas kuburan seseorang untuk meringankan
siksa kuburnya.
Imam besar Islam yaitu Imam Ar-Ramli mengatakan dalam kitab Nihayah
bahwa meletakkan pelepah kurma yang masih basah atau hijau di atas kubur
merupakan hal yang dianjurkan oleh Rosulullah. Ibnu Hajar menjelaskan
dalam Fathu Al-Bari bahwa Buradah telah berwasiat agar kuburnya nanti
diletakkan dua pelepah kurma yang masih basah atau hijau. Jadi hukum
menabur bunga dikubur sangat dianjurkan karena mengikuti perilaku
Rosulullah.
Bukan anjuran Rosulullah
Sebagian ulama lainnya berpendapat bahwa menabur bunga diatas kuburan
merupakan hal yang tidak dianjurkan oleh Rosulullah dan hadits diatas
hanya berlaku pada Rosulullah saja. Pelepah kurma basah yang diletakkan
di atas kuburan tidak dapat meringankan siksa orang yang dikubur
tersebut tetapi yang meringankan siksa kuburnya adalah adanya syafaat
dari Rosulullah.
Rosulullah juga tidak melakukan hal yang sama pada kuburan lainnya dan
para sahabat pun tidak mengetahui akan hal ini. Selain itu ada hadits
yang diriwayatkan oleh Muslim yang menerangkan bahwa Rosulullah melewati
dua kubur dan meletakkan pelepah kurma yang masih basah di atasnya dan
beliau berkata bahwa dua penghuni kubur ini akan mendapat keringanan
siksaan karena syafaat Rosulullah hingga pelepah itu mengering.
Berdasarkan hadits tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa yang dapat
meringankan adzab dari penghuni kubur adalah syafaat Rosulullah bukan
pelepah kurma atau bunga yang masih segar dan hukum menabur bunga di
pusara tidak dianjurkan.
Dari kedua pendapat itu dapat disimpulkan bahwa meletakkan pelepah
kurma, bunga atau tumbuhan lain diatas kubur merupakan hal yang tidak
ada gunanya dan malah menghambur-hamburkan harta saja. Alangkah baiknya
jika uang yang digunakan untuk membeli bunga dialokasikan untuk membantu
anak yatim atau disedekahkan kepada orang fakir miskin sehingga lebih
bermanfaat.
