Maka beruntunglah wanita dalam kisah ini. Setelah arungi bahagia
dalam rumah tangga selama 40 tahun, sang suami diuji dengan sakit dan

sembuh, aku akan menghukummu dengan 100 cambukan.”
Sang istri pun diusir. Kini, sang suami sendirian. Tiada makanan,
minuman, dan orang lain. Dalam himpitan sukar itu, Allah Ta’ala
memerintahkannya menggali tanah hingga memancarlah air dari dalamnya. Ia
mandi dengan air itu, penyakitnya langsung sembuh, ketampanan dan
kegagahannya kembali seperti semula, atas Kuasa Allah Ta’ala.
Lama berselang, sang wanita teringat dengan suaminya. Terbitlah iba
di dalam diri, hingga dia berniat pulang, untuk meminta maaf dan
kembali mengurusi suaminya. Sesampainya di gubuk sang suami, matanya
terbelalak. Semuanya sudah berubah.
Dia berkeliling, mencari suaminya. Lalu keluarlah seorang laki-laki
dengan paras menawan. Di tengah dialog dengan laki-laki yang tak
dikenalnya itu, sang wanita berkata, “Jika masih hidup dan sehat, ia
mirip dengamu.”
Akhirnya, laki-laki tersebut mengaku, dialah suaminya. Ayyub
