Kisah ini terjadi pada seorang pemuda di kota Jeddah beberapa
tahun yang lalu. Dia seorang muadzin di sebuah masjid dan seorang hafiz Quran. Pemuda

Pada suatu hari Jumat, sebelum matahari menyingsing
setelah shalat Subuh, dia pergi ke rumah kakek-neneknya di sebuah desa dekat
kotanya. Dia pergi bersama dengan teman-temannya dengan tujuan untuk membagi-bagikan
kurma kepada fakir-miskin, dan juga membagikan buku-buku dan kaset-kaset dakwah
disana. Setelah tugas mereka selesai, teman-temannya kembali pulang sementara
dia tetap di rumah kakek-neneknya.
Ketika tiba waktunya tidur, pemuda ini ingin tidur di
ruang tamu, tapi kakeknya menyuruhnya untuk tidur di ruang belakang sehingga tidurnya
lebih nyenyak, dan dia bisa bangun untuk shalat Subuh. Pemuda ini pun pergi ke
ruang di belakang rumah, menggelar matrasnya, berdzikir sejenak, lalu tidur. Di
rumah itu juga bekerja seorang pembantu berparas cantik.
Saat lewat jam dua dini hari, si pemuda berkata, “Aku
merasa pintu ruanganku terbuka dan tertutup beberapa kali, tapi aku tidak
terlalu memperhatikannya. Kupikir aku sedang bermimpi dan belum sepenuhnya
terbangun. Kemudian, tiba-tiba aku merasa ada orang yang berbaring di
sampingku, memelukku, dan mulai menciumku dari belakang.” Jadi si pemuda langsung
bangun dari kasurnya, mendorong gadis itu dengan tenaganya, dan menampar wajah
gadis itu. Secepat mungkin si pemuda langsung memakai pakaiannya, dan langsung
bergegas keluar rumah menuju masjid. Dia sangat ketakutan dan terus duduk di
masjid sambil menangis hingga adzan Subuh. Pagi pun datang menjelang, lalu
pemuda ini pulang dan memberitahu kakeknya atas apa yang terjadi. Lalu kurang
dari seminggu gadis pembantu itu dipecat.
Seseorang yang menceritakan kisah ini kepada saya berkata:
“Kemudian aku melihat temanku (pemuda tersebut) jadi sering muram setelah kejadian
ini, karena betapa besarnya situasi yang dialaminya, dan karena rasa takutnya
yang besar kepada Allah. Aku bertanya padanya, dan terus-menerus bertanya, sampai
dia memberitahuku tentang kisah ini dan menyuruhku berjanji agar tidak
menceritakan ini pada siapapun.”
Orang yang mengisahkan ini berkata pada saya, “Demi Allah
aku tidak menceritakannya kecuali karena ada hikmah dibaliknya. Aku menganggap
dia sebagai salah seorang dari tujuh orang yang akan dinaungi Allah pada hari ketika
tidak ada naungan kecuali naungan-Nya, yaitu seorang pria yang diajak berzina
wanita cantik dan berstatus tinggi, namun dia berkata, ‘Sesungguhnya aku takut
pada Allah!’”

menerima ujian ini. Bayangkanlah diri anda ada diuji seberat ini! Tidak ada
yang melihat atau mendengar anda kecuali Dia yang Maha Melihat dan Mendengar. Jadi
